I'll get this out of the way first...lol. 90% of my portfolio is diversified index funds. But I really enjoy active spec/swing trading with 10%.
I did well earlier this year with tech (China in particular) but the trade war headwinds took the wind out of the sector so I consolidated into bio/medical sector. It's been red hot lately.
The nice thing about the sector is geopolitical stuff doesn't affect it. I focus on small caps with emerging products or drugs (oncology in particular) in for FDA review. I've hit a few really nice trades in a row and I've been doing much more research into investing in the bio/medical sector.
I'm curious about exit strategies or hedges with new products in for FDA approval. Anyone here active in the sector?
