So keeping things short, was job searching when I saw a studio apartment in one of the most expensive parts of downtown Toronto for only $650, contacted the seller and was able to seal a lease for Late August - June 2019. It comes with everything, like this is a luxury apartment. This will also be the first time I rented out a place on my own as opposed to my sister being the one doing most of the work for me.
I'm meeting with the person who's flying in from Paris to come meet with me this week and he told me to bring the rent + last rents money for the deposit, but I just gotta ask... Isn't it too soon? Since I'm moving in late August? or is this normal?
The person told me that the previous person living there was his daughter and that she recently moved out, so he needs someone living there to keep it maintained. But something about this seems fishy to me, like it's too good to be true.
Edit: Guy, I appreciate the responses greatly but the second he asks me that I need to wire him money I'm going to tap out, yall need to chill thinking I would.
