Hey DIY!So i have this issue... i am looking to make a USB power strip (Anywhere from 5 to 20 USB ports) and I can't seem to figure out how to power it so that every port has the right amount of amperage and voltage.I would like each port to be about 2/2.4 amps to ensure all devices charge fine.Is there a formula as to what power supply / transformer i would need?I.e. n x USB ports @ 5V and 2.4amps requires say, 'y' Watts?Which brings me to my next question, do i work on amperage or wattage for the size of the power supply / transformer?i.e. 3amp power supply @ 30W?Thank you so much!edit: Thank you for the help guys! Will be taking the info and working out what i need. Much appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Kdwrv3
