This has been playing around in my head and for someone who has a real problem with making decisions, I am finding it tough.

It seems to me that self employment isn't as freeing as I hoped. It has its pros and cons. On the cons, I find myself thinking about work more.

Trying to figure out the best direction, where the next bit of cash will come from. How do I compete in a global marketplace, how do I ensure I get paid, blah blah blah.

So many many things to think and worry about.

At work, I just had to think about my work at work. There was almost zero stress and zero thinking of work outside work.

But, the pay was poor and I was chained to a desk 40 hours a week.

I wouldn't go back to that for anything.

But I wonder about whether contracting or part-tine work would be better. A compromise between the two worlds?

I am curious on others takes and experiences on this? Did self employment give you freedom but also too much to think and stress about?

Has anyone gone back to employment and preferred it?
