I’m almost 40. I have to move in two months (my roommate is moving out of state). I have only bedroom furniture and dishes. I can’t afford any place that I feel safe in (single woman) and my job has zero chance of promotion or a raise. I make less than $35k and owe $43k in student loans. I have no other debt. I have interviewed at four jobs with better pay and had multiple resumes out. I’m applying somewhere every week. No luck so far. I have no clue what to do. It feels like I’ve got nothing to show for my life and I’m starting to get depressed which makes the process much harder. I feel like a failure and don’t know how to get my life together. I’ve been very frugal this year and paid off my car and other debts. And it just seems like no matter how hard I try I can’t get caught up. Any real advice welcome.
