Dental insurance is covering my wisdom tooth surgery except for $600 for sedation. Is there any way to fight the insurance company on this? Could I have my dr. write a letter saying I have anxiety and it's medically necessary? I suppose I *could* do the surgery with just a local anesthetic, but I find that prospect terrifying (and the dr. strongly recommended sedation). I can afford to pay, but this seems really unfair! Thanks.
