Hi :) To add a little more information to the question, I’ve just started a full time job at £8 an hour. (£1120 per month BEFORE tax) and £90 per month from PIP. I’ve also started the application for working tax credit and I’ll add that when I know how much I’ll get...

My monthly outgoings total £148. This is ONLY direct debits that I can’t cancel.

I am TERRIBLE at saving. I try to motivate myself by saying that I’m saving for my first property and to give my 2 cats a new home (I currently live with my parents and they do not like he cats but I cannot give them up for a few reasons)

As of August 2018, I’ll also have another £200 per month going out as I had to buy a new wheelchair and get a loan from my grandma to pay for it...

How can I:

  1. Be more disciplined and stop spending money on eating out and random crap? Current methods of motivation are NOT working!

  2. Reasonably save £10,000 as soon as possible? This is how much I’ll need for a deposit on a flat.

Any advice greatly appreciated!
