I have an outdoor faucet that broke right where the faucet meets the copper pipe (https://ift.tt/2Ja8Yua). I went over to homedepot and had one guy suggest I try to break down some of that concrete looking filler/insulation/sealant(?) and install a sharkbite, or more specifically a "push'n'connect" valve (kind of like this: https://ift.tt/2sDOaA0 was googling online how to install this, to make sure I have no issues, and came across a website saying it shouldn't be installed outdoors (https://ift.tt/2J98yUx now I'm a bit confused as to what to do. Any ideas? I included an image of how the pipe runs in the basement, and I'd rather not go around trying to solder if I don't need to. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2sG7zQW
