Hello!
I have a job for the first time and during the process of me signing tons of documents, my new boss said I would have to become a part of the union. She said it is $100 down, and they would take a "small" part of my paycheck each week. To be honest, I had spent the last week focusing on getting the job and preparing answers to interview questions- I did not really think ahead to this kind of thing. I accepted and I am now hired.
Is this normal? Is there something I need to be watching for? This is all very new to me, thank you for your time!
