Hi everyone,

I am a pretty novice investor that wants to learn more about the correct process on how to value a company. I have taken some accounting and finance courses so I understand the basics - how to read an income statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet etc, and most of the ratios like EPS, P/E etc etc. However, I am looking for some guidance on how to go about evaluating a company looking at more than pure financials, ie. evaluating the management team, what assets do they have, industry outlook etc.

Are there any good books or online courses that anyone can recommend that provides a more general structure or outline of how to approach a company and analyze it start to finish? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

For those that are going to tell me to just stick my money in an ETF, I already do that but I am just interested in learning to process so I can pick a few equities I feel confident in. I know it will be a lot of work but that is what I am looking for.

Thanks!
