Hi r/Investing,

Would like some advice where to begin to learn macro trading. I’m very interested in world affairs and their impact on markets – and have been for a long time.

I’m specifically interested in FX and commodities, but would like to trade any instrument reactive to geopolitical / geoeconomic developments.

I found a quote below while researching:

“I will trade anything, I’m totally diversified and my views have nothing to do with what, say, the ECB is doing,” he said. “I’d go for Zambian T-bills, for example, keep an eye on beer consumption in Nigeria and the investment opportunities it presents or look to buy shares in a Turkish glass company after an earthquake.” I don't want to get too far ahead. But how does one get access to invest in diverse things such as Zambian treasury bills or Turkish glass companies?

What websites provide a good basis to learn to develop such a trading technique? BabyPips is one. I’m also making my way through Khan Academy videos about ‘Finance and Capital Markets’.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you.
