Here i am stuck with a problem and seeking guidance. Any help or suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
General story: My salary is based on fixed amount of USD's but paid in TRY to Turkish bank. I am living in Georgia, so spending currency is GEL. Salary calculation is happening on 20th of every month (USD to TRY) and paid to me on 5th of next month (in TRY).
Main Problem: TRY is losing value so rapidly that even in 15 days (calculation to pay day) i am loosing a lot of money. Unfortunately this is a written agreement between me and my employer so it is not simple to change this days.
Problem #2: Money being in Turkish bank but spending in Georgia. Monthly swift transaction costs a lot, so currently we are using atm's to withdraw cash (atm withdraw costs around %1) and using Turkish CC which converts GEL to USD and then to TRY.
GEL/USD is stable but TRY to others is not. Therefore i am losing money just because it is sitting in TRY.
My plan is to convert all TRY to USD on every pay day and switch my daily spending to Georgian CC. (i don't really believe the latter would change anything)
Are there any better way that i am missing? (Paypal is blocked in Turkey)
