Im one of the three last candidates for a position at a smaller company. During the first interview they told me the salary-range for this position was 30-40 k Euro (normal market salary) and I said that agreeing on a number within that range would not be a problem. I was thinking maybe I could get a offer at 36-38k at least.

After second interview they called me and said they were very interested, but needed to consult with the ceo about last candidates before they made a decision (ceo very busy atm). They also mentioned that the salary would start at 28k Euro (29 k in 6 months if I "prove" myself). So lower than they said at first , I felt shocked and that it was a bit rude. The guy who told me probably felt it too that it was low. He is newly employeed and been a manager in the business for about 20 years, so he probably told me normal market salary range at first.

I dont have a job at the moment (quit previous job to focus on hobbyproject), Im living of saved money with my gf who got a job. We are thinking through this right now together. Otherwise the job seems really cool, but the offer I might get is pretty much what I got right out of university and lower than what I had on previous jobs. How would you have done? Im also thinking about moving abroad in about a year, so would be good to be able to save up as much money as possible until then.
