I habitually have the impulse to get things over with - say, store returns and am typically unable to leave it for even a day or two. Outstanding menial tasks seem to linger on my mind unless they are dealt with, even if it can be a major hassle at times. At times I see this as a sign of a weakness, as if I'm not able to endure the intensity of a little itch and focus on more major tasks/priorities.
Is this approach to life contrary to, or in keeping with simple living?
Furthermore, in your opinion, does simple living demonstrate the ability to be patient and have restraint, or is it clearing the path as soon as possible in order to focus on other things? Do you have a good rule of thumb?
