Just graduated, $64k student loans, and have a misdemeanor on my record from 2 years ago. (Dist. Without remuneration) Can’t find a job, have been turned down by three companies during the background check phase. I told all three about the incident during interviews and they all said shouldn’t be a problem. Obviously it has been, luckily my dad is covering the first year of student loan payments. Do I go to grad school and attempt to further myself from the incident? I can have it expunged in 3 more years. Any advice is appreciated, 3 companies that have turned down are state and fed gov, and one big box store which was rather surprising, to me at least.
