It was a long time coming but a year ago I decided to track all my finances just to get a clearer picture as to what exactly I'm spending my money on. Some of the threads I read lack a little bit of context and relevancy so I'm curious as to how people earning around similar to myself (or any salary in fact) have been managing their finances. I'm 35 and unfortunately started very late in terms of keeping an eye on my expenditure and what not, but there's nothing I can do about the past so no point in me focusing on it.
Some things to note:
- Salary is in EUR.
- Only began contributing to a pension ten months ago.
- I plan to rent for the foreseeable future.
- Total savings at 17k.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
