If not born into it, how did you manage to scale down?
Is money and a career the oxymoron you need to go through to be able to afford a some life. How do you afford housing, how do you socialize with former peers that do not live simple.
I only have way through from a life in a Western consumption society to a simple life.
Over years, I cancelled every insurance, but mandatory, cancelled subscriptions to pay TV, land line telephone and internet, cable, other things. I live as simple as possible for someone in a big city without lots of money, without being homeless. Yet, the simple life I have in mind, requires a piece of land, a small house, ironically things, I cannot afford.
I just freed myself from the biggest bs in life, cleared up my mind but I am not having a simple life really.
