My in-laws are giving my wife and I a crib for our 2nd child. As can be seen here, it's in a little rough shape. Structurally, its fine, just needs some cosmetic work. It is real wood. Pine, I believe, due to the overall light weight. I'm wondering if I should go at this with an orbital or detail sander, or simply stick with hand sanding.Disclaimer: This is a re-post. I screwed up the first one by starting out with a photo post and it got deleted. Oops for not following the rules. Before that post was deleted, post someone made a comments about the crib being unsafe, and its illegal to re-sell cribs, yada yada yada. This crib is safe. It was purchased in fall of 2013 and I helped to be put it together. Crib safety standards haven't changed since 2011. I did check the CPSC website and verified that the crib is not under a recall. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Kf94N1
