I'm just curious how many people are frugal by using only Uber to get around?
I recently had a huge increase in car insurance with an impeccable driving record. I've never had a claim over 10 years with this insurance company.
The rate was so high that for how little I drove, insurance alone would be $20 per ride. Gas is about $20/month. I'm guessing depreciation from my vehicle is the same. Oil changes. Soon I need to replace my tires and brakes.
If I went to Uber strictly, I would save money immediately just from insurance. The $20 ride would go to $5-10 instead.
Does anyone use Uber as their sole means of transportation? And how much do you spend?
