New house, and so far contractors have been hit-and-miss.
One guy was super cheap, but took 3 weeks to complete a job that he said would take a weekend. The labor took him and his partner over 40 hours total. (Side gig for him).
Another was cheap, guy was quite a talker, personable. By the end, the product(cement) was just okay. He said the cement would be in next week, took 3 weeks for them to show up.
Rates are all across the board for purchases. Something that costs 4k for one contractor costs another 10k. I started getting a few estimates so I didnt get screwed, but I'm not sure when to stop.
Any tips for a good contractor experience?
