SPY consists of:
>companies which are hard to disrupt (covered by BRK.B, warren buffet is the best stock picker in this segment)
>companies which are doing the disruption (covered by AMZN, jeff bezos has the best VC track record in the world)
>companies in the middle which are getting disrupted.
Why bother with SPY and own the things in the middle? Why not just have the best manager on the tails?
Pair it with a short BNDX position for cheap <1% leverage and a tail hedge on europe/japan and you can pretty much make 20-40% consistently.
