I never biked much as a kid, but lots of coworkers had me interested in getting a bike.
I couldnt afford a nice thousand dollar bike, so I told myself I'd buy one when I had the money.
One down-payment and expensive necessity after another... I never got the bike. Years went by, Bike was on my list of things to buy, but I prioritized other purchases.
Last week, my wife's parents were getting rid of stuff. They offered me her dad's bike. Bike was formerly some high end bike that he'd hit trails with. Cost- Free.
Things like this make me glad I dont just buy everything on my wish list. I build up the list and keep it for occasions like christmas or reminders.
My only tip about saving things for later- Splurge and buy a generator and backup sump pump, that doesnt go on the wish list.
