My husband has had this dresser since before I met him and we have been together ten years. I hate, hate, hate the color and it doesn't match anything we have, but it seems to be here to stay. Anyway it's functional and durable(has lasted through several moves) so I thought I would try getting rid of the paint. Here are the results after two rounds of Citristrip: https://ift.tt/2HHVge3 researched and Citristrip seemed like a good option, but it seemed to just make a soupy mess of the paint that then got deeper into the wood somehow. The second round didn't do much. I don't know how to tell if this is the wrong kind of paint to be using Citristrip on, and not sure what my next steps are. So my questions are...How do I finish getting the paint out of this side panel? For the rest of the dresser, what other methods can I try? I already tried heat using a steamer after seeing it suggested online, and that didn't seem to do anything. Is sanding the paint off a viable option? Is just painting over the green paint with a more agreeable color a better option? Thanks in advance for any help/guidance. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2H6gPYn
