Hiya /r/diy!My wife and I have recently bought our first house and we're working to make it better. On our todo list is replacing the old Hg thermostat with something a bit more modern... we were hoping for an Ecobee.Anywho - I'm at least reasonably sure I know what I need to do, but wanted to see if someone who might *actually* know what they're doing could confirm for me...Here's photos of the thermostat wiring, how it's hooked up to the ICM right now, and the wiring diagram on the inside of the panel...https://ift.tt/2vdjUAC what I think I need to do... please correct me if I'm wrong about any of it.Kill the power to the furnace and confirm that it's dead.Rewire the thermostat wires on the ICM as follows...Black wire -> C terminalGreen wire -> G terminalRed wire -> R terminalYellow wire -> Y terminalOrange -> W terminal (there is no white wire)Blue -> Nowhere...Attach fancy new thermostat per manufacturer's instructions - matching the letters/wires above.Turn the power back on.Am I missing anything or are any of my assumptions wrong? Thank you! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Hov1LU
