Hello! I'm looking for an all season jacket. By that, I mean one that's fairly warm and is waterproof, a hood is preferable. I live in Maine, so all season is basically a joke of a description. Nonetheless, I understand layering so the jacket moreso needs to be great in rain and snow (waterproof) and warm enough that a sweater and a long sleeve would work underneath. I'm guessing my best bet is LL Bean, although I've looked into Columbia. I have a rain jacket for summer that's a Columbia, and it is paper thin. It's lasted two seasons so far and it's still in nice shape. I have a Columbia winter coat as well, but it's puffy, absorbs water, has a fur-lined hood and it's just really not my speed.
