I thought I would share my system for towel type items in my household. Basically I buy the cheapest towels I can find at Walmart and once they start getting worn I cut them up into washcloths which are used as cleaning rags, washcloths and also napkins a lot because I try to avoid using paper towels as much as possible. I never have to buy washcloths or cleaning rags only new towels to replace the ones that are getting worn out. As far as the washcloths go I throw them out quite regularly when I used to clean up Grease and things and it kind of evens itself out because I'll run low on washcloths and by that time I need to switch out another towel anyway.
