So, I'm doing some extreme budgeting. I was a stay a home mom, now I'm divorced. I lost my job due to lack of work recently so now I have only an monthly income from alimony which is about $1200/month. My kids are staying with their dad for the next two weeks. So, right now I'm just doing school and job hunting.
I've been reading books like the 'Home made pantry' and I saw some videos on making a year's worth of laundry soap for $X or body soap for $0.XX/bar. I love mixing and making so I am thinking about digging further in this.
Just wondering, does anyone make their one household cleaners and/or personal hygiene items to save money? Is it really worth it to you? I don't mind putting down for initial ingredients and tools. I think I may still have a few since I like to craft occasionally.
Thanks ;)
