Hello, everyone!
I'm 23, a recent college graduate, working a software job for a big insurance company. I have about $20K left in student loans (down from $35K) and about $55K in my bank. I make around $80K gross including bonuses and a secondary job I picked up to keep myself busy.
I've been told over and over again by older folks that this is the norm for people in their 20s to be confused about life and to just "continue living." What does that even mean? How do I improve my life and actually make use of my money instead of just "continue living" and see what pops up later in my journey?
Anyways, I'm kind of lost in life. How do I invest some of the money I have saved up into stocks and whatnot? My company matches 6% for my 401K, so I've been maxing that out. Other than that, I'm completely clueless! Should I pay off my student loans right away? Invest that money into other things? Take many vacations to enjoy life before I actually start working my butt off?
