Hi. I am trying to build a floating deck. We do not want to cement post into the ground. We decided to use the deck blocks. Example of what we are trying to do : https://ift.tt/2HqQBvK backyard isn't level and if we put the blocks on top the ground, it will be too high up and we want it right at the ground level. We buried the blocks and under it, used paver base plus leveling sand and we dug the hole bigger and we buried it to where the head is just slightly popping up at our highest point. The only thing I have a question on, how the heck can I level these blocks?????? If I get one side level, I can't get the other. So for example, if I do the horizontal cross, I can level it, but then I do the horizontal cross and the blocks are off and it is a never ending battle. Lifting it up and adding or removing sand/base, still leaves it un-leveled and they are heavy, so lifting in and out the hole is not the greatest. In the DIY above, it states : "create holes for the blocks so you can adjust (raise or lower) to make them even. " -- Can someone explain that to me a little more or give me other alternative ideas to level this thing?Thank you very much! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2HmTv4M
