PhotosSliding glass door took on some water over the years and rotted out a bit of subflooring and the a little part of the base plate. I've found some good tutorials on replacing the sub flooring so my confidence level is high there. Question concerns the damage to the base plate.Cutting it out and putting a new one in seems pretty invasive. Is a reasonable solution to sister up some 2 x 6's against the base plate as the new anchor points for the sub floor and then install the door (with proper flashing this time)? Thanks for any advice. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2GAJ4KH
