Just wanted to share my personal PF victory. Earlier this week I was informed that I was being promoted and would be receiving a raise I was very happy with. It still kinda blows my mind when I think about it. Same job, same responsibilities, more mullah.
I realized I could pad my pockets with a portion of this cash in my take-home pay, or I could increase my 401k contribution which would allow me to max out my annual contribution for the first time ever. So, first thing I did after finding out was increase my annual contribution so I wasn't tempted (or more likely, my wife) to blow it on something that would require a new multi-year loan.
