In my area (San Diego) 1 bedroom condos cost 300K. I often see homes on Zillow in LCOL areas where 300K can buy you a mansion. But is quality of life in those cities worse? Are the restaurants, events, social scenes, just not as good? I just don't get how housing is so affordable in some places and so expensive in others.
