It's been many years since I did this, but in my first job after college a group of us at work were trying to save money. Four of us decided to make lunches for each other. It's almost as easy to make 4-5 lunches a one lunch, so it worked out. Each Monday I would make 4 lunches -- sandwiches, add some chips and veggies, and take them to work. Tuesday another person made 4, and so forth. On Friday people could do whatever. We often went out to eat, cutting our eating out bill by 80%
We saved a ton of money, and it is a LOT easier to get motivated to make a lunch when others are counting on you. And almost as easy to make 4 as 1.
