If you eat meat and haven't tried beef heart yet, it's time you give it a chance. I bought a heart the other day for about a dollar per pound, cooked it up last night on kebabs and holy cow, it was delicious! It really just tastes like beef, it doesn't have any odd "organ" flavors. A good marinade helps as always, and the meat is quite lean so cooking it to medium rare was just right. I think this will become a regular thing in my house, I'm planning a nice "hearty" beef stew once I'm done with the leftovers. At that price it can't be beat!
