I went to Publix yesterday at 3 pm to get two hoagie rolls for dinner. The bakery only had one roll in the serve yourself bin, so I asked the bakery attendant for two rolls. She grabbed a bag of four rolls, took two for me, AND THREW THE OTHER TWO ROLLS IN THE TRASH. Before I could react.
She couldn’t just add them to the serve yourself bin? It was so disheartening. I felt like I was responsible for wasted food, although I was being frugal by not buying rolls we didn’t need.
