For the first time since I was a kid and got my first passbook savings account, I have been depositing money into my savings consistently -- and here's the kicker: not touching it. This has been really difficult for me for a long time because usually my whole paycheck is needed for bills, with just a bit leftover for gas and groceries.
For the past three years, I've been paying off all of the smaller bills that were just choking me out financially, and cluttering up my credit score too, because I let a lot of shit go for too long.
So, while it may not be a lot, today I have $300 in my savings, and my credit score is now up in the 700s. It's been a long road, and I still have a couple of hurdles, but it feels REALLY good to finally have a positive financial outlook.
Thanks for all of the advice I've read in this sub, and for reading my story!
