i have a small bedroom and work from home - i want to be able to roll my desk into the bedroom during the day. i rent an apt and can't screw things into walls or ceilings (so i can't get a murphy bed). i want the floor space as free as possible (so i don't want a futon/sofabed), and i have MS (sometimes i cant feel my legs, so climbing up the ladder in a loft bed would not work). otherwise any of those solutions would be great.
i have a great 10" mattress, and if my legs always worked right just sleeping on the floor and tipping it over during the day would be a perfect solution. but i need to be higher off the ground so i can get up easily. in my mind i am thinking of something that's like like a folding table i could use to put the mattress on to keep me higher off the ground, then tipping over the mattress during the day, and folding up the base beneath it every day and also putting that to the side - that would only take up about a foot of floor space. i have a "folding" boxspring now, but if you want to fold it you have to do a lot of unscrewing etc, so that's not sustainable for everyday folding. ps i am open to other ideas besides this folding boxspring/table - i am even thinking of getting another 10" mattress to doublethe mattresses up and tip them both over during the day, but i am not sure if that would be sturdy. all ideas welcome.
i am looking online now for possible solutions but figured i'd post here. thank you in advance.
