So recently me and my flat mate have decided to part ways which means that I am now going to be living alone. It turns out that rent for a one bed is much more expensive than I had anticipated so I am trying to look for areas to cut other costs down.
I'm not going to be broke but I would like to still have money to spend on myself, rather than everything I work for be lost in heating and electric etc.
Does anyone have any useful tips on getting the cheapest and most effective prices for all household utilities?
Bonus question: Does anyone know a good way to reduce rent prices when negotiating with an estate agent? How much is too much and will they budge on their own fees? - Rent is £1000 currently.
