I am biased. I hate this city. I'm coming to hate this state and I absolutely hate the circumstances and this causes me zero love for our homes.
We have 2 in central Oklahoma upon worthless property in a rural community.
To add insult, we are poor.
To add injury, even if we tried to remodel on a half a shoe string budget, the occasional earthquakes would mute any finish work. The existing damage to the finish from the earthquakes is still there.
We have 2 dilapidated homes. The ugly one is not beyond repair. It's sturdy and doable. The cuter one is sliding down the hill which is not to bad until you remember the earthquakes.
I hate these homes and this scenario so bad I'm of the mind to abandon them. I won't, of course, but I need an outside mind to make suggestions what we should do.
We just paid off the principle of a massive debt which is why these homes are dilapidated. Our goal is to gtfo and go live somewhere else.
Because of the debt problems we've been clearing, I abhor credit and absolutely will not take out any loans.
When the time comes, should we just sell them dirt cheap?
We will be making repairs to an extent, but nothing that will make them look nice.
