I'm going to use a Chase card (either Freedom or Sapphire Reserve) to buy a 2017 LG OLED TV from Best Buy. I'm buying from Best Buy for the extended warranty, that apparently isworth it for the burn-in protection alone. Even if they wont match a price like a deal offered on an ebay store, if I buy the set today for $1700, I could then use my card's price protection to get any lower price on this set in the next 3 months, correct? And this is likely given that the 2018 models are coming and there will probably be a few more significant price drops on this model, right? For reference, this model was on sale in January for $1200 at Fry's, and has been at $1500 fairly recently other places, as well. Is there a chance I could negotiate down to something like $1500 today if I tell him I'd buy the warranty for that price?

Thanks for any advice or help!
