I have the opportunity to get a 125 cc motorcycle from my father for free. It is not in the best shape and need repairs but is very close to running condition for under $200. Where I live, motorcycle season is about half the year, and insurance for this type of bike would be about the same as a car for a year. Is this worth the effort to fix and use to save on gas in the months that I can use it instead of a car? What are your thoughts on motorcycles as a longterm investment?
