I'm in a position where I can get a Vitamix e310 for about a hundred bucks cheaper than the retail value (only for the next few days) and I'm deliberating on whether it's worth it because that's still way outside my usual budget for an appliance (which I wouldn't usually budget for at all). Currently I'm using a $15 'Hamilton Beach' with one button that must be continuously pressed down, and that cuts my kale smoothies into something resembling a wet salad rather than an actual drink. It can't do anything that's frozen, or fruit that is any colder than room temperature. Because I can only stomach liquid food in the morning, I want my smoothie to be enjoyable.

I'm mostly asking because I'm the kind of person who will get an idea about 'the one big thing' that will make everything in my life easy and put together and while I know nothing is really that simple, it's hard to shake the concept. I'd like a second or third opinion on whether the vitamix would be a decent option for me, or whether I should get an Oster/Ninja or something closer to my price range.
