I rescued an Aeron chair (RRP something like $1500/£1200) from being thrown out from my office. The chair sinks without anyone even sitting in it, so I assume it's just a gas cylinder replacement? Here it is:http://ift.tt/2ImO32O http://ift.tt/2phsqIG http://ift.tt/2IpGRmB cannot, for the life of me, remove either the base (where the wheels attach) or the cylinder. I have a mallet and a pipe wrench, but no joy yet. I have sprayed WD40 on the relevant bits.Is there anything obvious here that says "this chair is beyond fixing"? I don't mind spending more time hammering away in a ham-fisted manner, but if I should cut my losses and just get one of these (http://ift.tt/2pelfka), I'd be grateful for advice! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2IpGRTD
