I saw that my cellphone service provider (koodo) was offering free 2gb of data per month for 2 years to new customers around the same time I was looking into increasing my data limit from 1 gb per month. I sent them a quick email stating that I have been a customer for 5+ years and if they would be able to extend the 2gb deal to me as well. It took them a few weeks to get back to me (they had an abnormal amount of emails due to this deal) but to my surprise they actually gave me what I asked for. I paid off the remaining amount owing on my cellphone, changed my phone plan slightly, and decreased my bill from $105 per month to $62.15 while also managing to get more data! :)
