It would appear I have a single pole configuration (the light I am attempting to dim is controlled by only one switch). The problem I am having is the drawing in the instruction manual shows a single-pole configuration with two insulated black wires coming from the junction box along with a ground. My junction box however has three insulated black wires and the ground (bare copper wire) seems to be wrapped around a screw at the back of the box (I could be wrong about the ground wire though since I am not sure if one of the insulated black wires in the junction box is in fact the ground.) Anyhow I've tried every wiring set-up imaginable and while the light now dims beautifully the room's outlets no longer work. When I removed the original light switch, two of the black wires coming from the junction box were inserted into holes in the back of the light switch while the third black insulated wire was wrapped around a screw on the side of the switch, is this third wire my ground? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2Fcc2Q7
