I've been using manual toothbrushes for a while and have been looking into buying an electric toothbrush since they appear to give a bigger "bang for your buck" in the long term when it comes to tooth care and dental costs.
The only thing that I still have a bit of trouble completely understanding when it comes to electric toothbrushes is when people talk about having to constantly replace the toothbrush heads. Are they being replaced because they get dirty/don't clean as effective anymore (like with manual toothbrushes where you have to replace them every so often) or do they just break down easily or something?
Any advice on how to get affordable toothbrush heads for these electric toothbrushes (I plan on getting the Oral-B 1000)?
