So I've received a funding package from a grad school, and it includes a small monthly stipend. If I'm offered more offers from other schools, somehow I'll need to compare the assistantship stipends adjusted for cost of living.

What is the easiest way to do this? Make a spreadsheet, get some approximate costs for housing and food, and see how much money you have left over from the salary? Mainly I'd be looking to see which funding package would give me the most spending power in their respective cities.
