So, here's the long and short of it. I have an A/C unit on the second floor. I'm guessing it got clogged and when I used the blower to blow out the gunk it must have burst. I realize now I should not have done that. Either way it's done. The burst seems to have happened inside a large PVC pipe that runs through the foundation.Picture it like this. The A/C drip pipe leaves the A/C unit on the second floor and goes down to the first floor behind some walls. I've made a few holes in the wall to find it and I've actually located the exact spot where the drip pipe runs into the foundation. I know this is the spot for a couple of reasons. One, when I had clear out the pipe using a shop vac (this time sucking not blowing), I wanted to test and see if it was clear. So I poured water into the drip tray in the A/C unit upstairs and waited to see the water come out. It didn't. We did however notice the floor downstairs starting to get wet. I opened the wall near where the water was and low and behold there is the drip pipe, along with the A/C gas copper tube, and the A/C electrical cable all running into a PVC pipe that goes into the foundation of the house. So, I went outside and I found the exit of that foundation pipe, and now when I pour water into the drip tray, all the water comes from the pipe and not the drip pipe instead. My assumption is that I burst the pipe inside of that PVC pipe. So, I have a few things I'm thinking of doing, and they all scare me.First, I figure I can dig the hole around that exit of the foundation pipe, a little deeper and then I can fill it with rocks and basically make it into a basin drain (or something like that).Second, I can cut the drip pipe, pull it through and out, and then try and stick another one back up the foundation pipe. So, anyone dealt with this before? Thanks, via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2Ht8j26
