Hi guys,Just want to get some advice, ideas and help on how to do this!Girlfriend pretty much wants a low-key proposal in the apartment. Im all good with this, however I want to construct something that will make it really nice. She is out of the country right now so i have several weeks to prepare and build this thing.Long story short when we go back home after i pick her up at the airport i want her to walk into our apartment and all she sees is a tunnel.I want to build a tunnel that has black fabric on the walls and ceiling of the structure, really cute swinging lights overhead and just tons of pictures from our relationship chronologically placed on the walls in this tunnel along with tons of rose petals leading toward the bedroom (where i will be waiting, or perhaps i should just walk with her through the tunnel so we can look together). I will have a song playing (Bluish by Animal Collective) in the background, either that or How Deep is Your Love by the Bee Gees. I like the message of Bluish, however the latter song by the Bee Gees is more special and means more to our relationship (one of the first songs she showed me).I am trying my hardest on finding the easiest and best way to construct the tunnel. I've thought about buying a shit ton of big boxes and stacking them, but that seems really difficult and unnecessary. I figured i would need like really long boxes in length, will need like 6 to stack for just one part of one wall. How do i go about making a tunnel that has at least 6 feet plus of space to walk in? I thought about maybe just having the black fabric walls as a curtain of sorts, where it's just hanging on a line, sort of creating a "tunnel" like atmosphere with fabric walls on both sides, this is the idea really. Thanks all!tl;dr: I want to build a romantic tunnel for my engagement. Has anyone built an indoor tunnel like this in their living room, lol? Any ideas on how to construct it? I will be on standby so we can all comment if this gets any traction! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2E878TO
