There's at least one similar post to this from several years ago, but I thought I'd share with everyone as an update to the product/service.
I ordered my For Life 1460's in May of 2014 and have worn them pretty much daily since. They're my main work shoes, so I take good care of them by keeping them treated and clean. The leather was still in great shape, but the soles had just been worn smooth. There was very little to no tread left. So I decided to try to trade them in.
The process was pretty quick and painless. About a week after I mailed them in, I got an email telling me that they had received them and that I needed to call them to confirm shipping and product info and to pay them the $35 admin fee with a credit card. I did so and received my brand new pair of 1460's about a week after that.
I'll admit that I was skeptical of this For Life deal as being too good to be true, but it really was minimal hassle and Doc Marten came through as advertised. The whole process took about two weeks.
